Artist Notes: The Wash Series emerged as a result of my effort to incorporate painting into my meditation practice. I wanted to bring the zen state I reached in intentional stillness into free artistic movement. I began painting with objects other than brushes because they allowed for greater organic expression during my moving meditations. Each work became a set of clearings of my mind and body - a reality sculpted by stillness in motion.
