Artist Notes:The Planet Heads emerged out of a curiosity about the potential for repetition to generate newness. With each work, I repeat a pattern of movements - first Wim Hof breathing, then mixing emulsions of paint on my knees, then layering colors in order. These simple movements serve as a sort of spell that takes my mind to a place of complete calm. From this serene place, the paintings would come through me. The creatures of my subconscious appear on canvas, having passed from my mind through my hands.
